Certain Conservative Campaign literature states on the Academy "Your views" are "Our views", well from what we saw in the council chambers last night and the above vote this is clearly not the case with this or the Arthur street issue. So please read the campaign literature carefully. They appear not to be listening to what the people of Barrow want and on these two issues were not representative of the people in the public chamber. In fact the way that they handled the whole proceedings was shocking and very disturbing in that we are relying on these people to make key decisions about Barrow. Some appeared to not even be listening which prompted a member of the public to interrupt proceedings and point this out.

We are urging the people of Barrow to vote only for anti academy candidates. It is important to remember that you do not have to use all your votes in this election.

The deep anger felt and expressed from the public area throughout the council meeting suggests that it is time for big changes on the Borough Council.

If you do not live in one of the above wards, there are other independents and minority party candidates standing in other wards that support our campaign and are against the academy. If in doubt please ask your candidate.
